TRIP ANDÂ TRACK NOTES
SAFETY
Before embarking on any adventure into the bush, always ensure you are properly prepared and are undertaking trips within your capabilities and level of experience.
The bush is a natural and uncontrolled environment and holds many inherent hazards and dangers.Â
Trip and Track Notes and other associated resources and information, can assist you in your travels. However, they CAN NOT replace common sense and due care on your part.
Only you have the ability to ensure your own safety and the safety of those with you. You need to fully accept responsibility for your own safety and the safety of those with you. If you cannot or will not accept this then DO NOT GO!!!
TRIP NOTES
The Trip Notes aim to provide an overview and quick reference for each of the featured Adventures
TRACK NOTES
The Track Notes aim to provide more specific details to assist in undertaking a chosen adventure and reaching the destination point.
ABBREVIATIONS AND CONVENTIONS
As you read into the notes of each adventure, you will become accustom to the abbreviations and conventions. These are used in an effort to keep the notes as clear and concise as possible.
Click Here for list of abbreviations and explanation of conventions used in the notes.
TRAVEL TIME AND PACE
The indicated Travel Times and "Pace" for each trip aim to provide a guideline for planning your day out. These timing are always very conservative (unless clearly stated otherwise) and you will probably find that you complete the trips well within these time frames.
The indicated time frames DO NOT take into account rest stops on the journey or time spent at the destination.
DEGREES OF DIFFICULTY AND RATINGS
The Degrees of Difficulty and Ratings aim to provide some guidance on the comparative difficulty of any given trip. Where possible, we have tried to break up and rate the separate sections to provide a more in depth and accurate indication of journey. We also provide an overall rating for each trip.
As you progress further into the different Adventures, you should be able to relate your own experiences to the ratings to better gauge the relative level of difficulty for you, for future Adventures in the Series.

MAP REFERENCES
The references throughout the notes are provided as Check Points (CP) and use standard Longitude and Latitude figures. These can be entered into navigation applications (such as Google Maps) to identify the locations.
Further information on using these references can be found under "Basic Navigation Applications" in the "Skills & Training" section of this website.
